By train
There are good connections from London via Waterloo or Paddington where you can get a
straight through train to Dawlish. Also trains from most UK cities. If necessary,
change trains at Exeter.
By Car
Can go via the coast road but quickest route is to ignore signs for Dawlish on the M5 and travel South
to the very end of the M5. Follow A38, A380
signposted Plymouth and Torquay. 3 miles after the motorway end sign there is a sign for Teignmouth, B3192. Take this slip road on your left to small roundabout.
Straight over roundabout towards Teignmouth over Haldon Moor with lovely views of Dartmoor to the right and glimpses of the sea to your left.
Option 1/The quick way
3 miles from small roundabout turn left onto narrow road by large Teignmouth sign. Beware this is a Devon narrow 2 way road! Go slow! After 2
miles, just past yellow speed signs, turn right into John Nash Drive. At T-junction turn right and immediately left into Old Teignmouth Road.
Option 2 via a convenient supermarket
5 miles after the small roundabout you reach traffic lights in Teignmouth. Take left hand lane, through traffic lights and go straight
over next roundabout towards Dawlish. Indicate right as Co-op Supermarket is on right hand side with car park. Can
also walk into Teignmouth from here to other shops, beach etc. On leaving the supermarket turn right. Left at next roundabout and proceed on left hand lane around
right hand and left hand bends up a long hill. After about 2 miles, just past the Smugglers Inn turn right into Old Teignmouth Road, Shell Cove House
is on your right hand side.
