Short Break Holidays Through The Seasons

You can arrive and depart on any day and stay for as long as you choose between September 13 and May 24.

A holiday by the sea , with stunning scenery, beautiful views, deserted beaches and a warm and cosy cottage is an ideal break all year round. On the coastal footpath and near all the attractions of south Devon, Shell Cove is ideally situated.

In the winter enjoy a walk along the sea to Teignmouth for a hot chocolate, visit the cathedral city of Exeter or stride out on Dartmoor through picture book villages, maybe stopping at a thatched pub for lunch. Sit in our cliff edge gazebo and spot the wintering birds on the beach below.

On Christmas Day wander down to our beach, take a bottle of bubbly and the children can explore the caves and beachcomb for treasures to come in on the tide. You may witness a dramatic sea storm! Return to your holiday cottage to open presents by the fire! Crackers and decorated non-illuminated Christmas Tree provided for the festive season.

Shell Cove is particularly beautiful in the spring, which arrives early with flowers filling the gardens from February onwards. The National Trust properties nearby burst into bloom. Take the little children on the ferry boats across the estuaries, visit the local farm attractions to feed the animals and maybe visit Teignmouth pier for traditional sea side fun!

With our beach, indoor games room, hard tennis court, play ground, gingerbread house and childrens' facilities, croquet lawn, bird hide gazebo and gardens there is lots to do all year round!

Short break prices: to find a price for any number of nights: choose your property, choose the dates, see the weekly tariff price and calculate the short break as follows:

1 – 3 nights 60% of full week price
4 nights 70% of full week price
5 nights 80% of full week price
6 nights 90% of full week price.

For example 4 nights in the Rockery in January would be 70% of £415 = £290.50.

FREE UPGRADE FOR 2 PERSONS
During the Winter season (excluding Christmas, New Year and 1/2 Term), pay the rate for our smallest property, The Rockery, and we will upgrade you to a larger property using one bedroom at no extra charge. We select the property which, subject to availability, will usually be one of our cottages (excluding Lobster).

BABIES & TODDLERS STAY FREE
Babies and toddlers are welcome at Shell Cove House and stay for free! We make no charge for children in cots and provide a travel cot, cot linen and bedding for no charge. You can select a high chair, stair gate and other useful equipment from our complimentary baby and toddler pack on the booking form. Toddler crockery/cutlery provided in every property. There is a fully equipped laundry room, toddler's toys, books to borrow and we can arrange cleaning service.

REGULAR VISITOR DISCOUNT
Many of our guests return every year and have had 20, 30 even 50 holidays here! Guests returning for their 5th and subsequent holidays receive 5% discount. 10% for 10 times or more and 12% for 30 times or more. A free weekend after the 40th stay and a free weeks holiday after 50th stay!
