Shell Cove is a wonderful place for young children…and parents! We have guests with such happy memories of their childhood holidays at Shell Cove that they return as adults, with their own children!

Babies and toddlers are very welcome and stay for free! There is plenty to keep young children entertained whilst parents/grandparents can relax and enjoy the peace and facilities too.

There is space for children to run around and play in safety. Our unique gingerbread house and outdoor play areas keep them happily occupied at all times of the year. In the summer the heated toddlers’ pool with its dolphin fountain is popular and the children soon make new friends playing in the water together.

On cooler days there is a spacious heated indoor games room with toys for all ages, lots of books to borrow and a cupboard full of traditional board games and puzzles.

With our own ‘famous five’ beach you do not have to join the crowds. At any time of year children love watching the trains, playing in the sand, hunting for shells and exploring the caves and rock pools. On a winters day maybe light a small driftwood fire on the beach and toast some marshmallows!

The cliff path is uphill returning to the house, but there is a good safe path with wide gentle steps and a handrail with lovely views to enjoy en-route. There are also buggy useable paths to the local beaches, shops and cafes at Dawlish and Teignmouth direct from your property.

We make no charge for children’s equipment. A travel cot with linen and bedding, high chairs, safety gates, socket covers etc. can all be selected from our complimentary toddlers pack. We can provide a folding bed in the parents’ bedroom if required.

There is a fully equipped laundry room with complimentary washing and drying facilities. Your property will be spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and well equipped for your family including toddler cutlery etc. A cleaning service can be arranged during your holiday if required.

We suggest you avoid the school holidays and enjoy Devon at its best. Quiet, beautiful, lots to see and do and save money too!

There are lots of big attractions nearby for young children including Pennywell Farm, Miniature Pony Centre and Crealy.
